June 17- Gardening and Fishing plans, Rifle Climbing Center 9:30 to 11AM

June 18- Bikes- Orientation and rides by ability level, Rifle Climbing Center 9:30 to 11AM

June 19- Four Mile Park- Forts and Forests

We are back from Yellowstone/Tetons and our Orientation Week 1 was successful. More orientation, and a doubling down on processes and safety during week 2 as we add Biking to our plans on Monday and Thursday.

Neither the Trapper's Lake/High Alpine caming and fishing trip nor the Biking trips will leave early tomorrow. We have time to triplecheck and establish processes that will help students in the long run of the Summer.

For example, all bikes should be laid down on the sidewalk or grassy areas at the West side of TRCS gear side up. Not a single student should plan to pick up a bike or ride in the parking lot. We will start in classrooms.

We will plan to leave on rides that suit our various ability levels at 10:30 or so.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A CHANCE WE WILL CHANGE THE FRIDAY FOURMILE PARK FORTS AND FORESTS PLAN BECAUSE THERE WAS SOME VANDALISM TO THE BIG PHX BUS. IT IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY REPAIR, BUT THAT IS NOT CERTAIN. On this subject, I think we should not leave bikes at TRCS as we have in the past. Whether they are locked or not, this doesn't seem like the safest option. First the basketball hoop, then the bus were damaged. If moving bikes is a particular hardship, please email me individually so we can make plans for just a few bikes to be stored inside.

Hi Ben. I’m confused on bikes as there is orientation on two different days. Do we need to bring bikes tomorrow or on the second day…or both?
