We are up and running this year! No room for complacency and plenty of new ideas to share. We are working on curriculum and sharing Math and STEM lessons with our classes. We are also glad to be playing and sledding on the solid snowpack. Fingers crossed for more! Yurt days have been great. Shane is building bobsleds and making great use of the new TRCS classroom space. Breezie is a mastermind doing jewelery with the SES kids. Mary has a great, variety schedule underway at GSES.
We have 14 students signed up for the Summer session and will carefully fill out the roster ahead of schedule and with additional time to layer up the planning!
Here's a quick list of big Field Studies upcoming:
Spring Break: 3/26 and 3/27 camping and mountain biking at North Fruita desert
President's Day: TBD. Please contact us with interest in childcare coverage.
6/10 through 6/12: Saddlehorn Campground at CO Natl Monument
6/18 through 6/20: Bear Creek State Park (West of Denver)
7/15 through 7/17: Bogan Flats group site camping
7/24 through 7/25: Chapman Reservoir camping trip
Beyond these overnight trips, we are also planning typical day trips and fun experiences. Some will be best for older kids and some will be ideal for younger ones.
We are also planning a MTN School family appreciation childcare night. We could host 15-20 kids on a Friday or Saturday night a few weeks from now as a thank you for your continued trust. Please let us know when might work best and drop your kids with MTN School while you get out for a date.
Lastly, I am thrilled about our new sports mission! The Glenwood Springs Wrestling Team is rolling! First match in Eagle on March 2! Wish us luck!!
Is the summer program only for kids of certain ages?
The hadlands would be interested in some care on the 19th
