Rocking and Rolling at Sopris Elementary

These first two weeks have been amazing! Your families and Sopris Elementary have welcomed the Mountain School with open arms. This experience has been wonderful for me and our program!

We are trying so hard to meet the needs at Sopris Elementary and we are becoming very popular! This is an exciting time for everyone involved with The Moutain School!


Today we hiked near the Cardiff Coke Ovens. As sweat poured down our faces we treked 1.5 miles and gained 1,000 ft in elevation! Lots of water was consumed along the way, and we even stopped to talk about the high desert terrain!

We observed Glenwood Springs from high above and even learned some history about the town formerly known as Defiance.
